Family matters are almost always emotional, even though the law is what settles them. We try to handle that calmly and competently: we draft prenuptial agreements and settlements that decide property questions in advance and head off future conflict, and we work through the disputes that come with divorce.

Property acquired during the marriage is usually the hardest part to settle. We support the process from negotiations and a settlement agreement through to defending your interests in court, when an agreement isn't possible. Part of that work is establishing what counts as joint property and what doesn't, so the division ends up fair.

Child support disputes are the third area we handle: recovery, adjusting the amount, contesting it, and resolving arrears. We advise on where children will live and how contact with them is arranged as well, always guided by the child's best interests.
